Interestingly, I've been running postfix for years, and have never
actually had to use the "inet_interfaces" option. I believe that if you
don't bother to specify an "inet_interfaces" option line, it listens on
all interfaces.
He also might need to check his firewall configuration, to make sure that
the system is set to accept connections on port 25.
