Radeon 9800 driver issue

This is an FYI for anyone experiencing problems with the experimental ATI
Radeon 9800 support in Fedora Core.

With regards to my earlier post entitled "newbie boot problems" on 16 Nov
2003...

Thanks to the tips from Chuck Mead I was able to boot to runlevel 3 and
ensure that firstboot was not set to run.

I then rebooted into X which started fine, until after login when it then
hard locked again :-(

So I then installed the proprietary drivers from ATI and tried again. All is
now fine, and I re-ran firstboot which was also OK - which of course with
hindsight had nothing to do with the issue at hand.

To sum: there is a serious problem with the Radeon 9800 support in this
release, and the quick fix is to use the driver from ATI. I shall bugzilla
it and cross fingers :-)
