Hi Johan,

I got exactly the same anaconda error when I tried to install on a Dell
OptiFlex GX260 but I didn't get the cpio error.
I had checked the MD5sum of the iso images and done a media check.

Now for the "solution". I had been busy at work, so after the install
failed, I didn't do anything for about 2 days. I was going to try the CDs
that I had made on a different computer but then decided to give it one
one atttempt on the Dell. It worked.

Nothing had changed. I didn't even take the CD out of the drive. I guess
these Dell computers need a little time to get used to running a new OS
