The English language lacks here, only having one word "free" and two
entirely different meanings.  The free software movement has adopted the
phrase, "Free as in speech, not free as in beer."

Free as in speech, cf. libre in Spanish, is about freedom.

Free as in beer, cf. gratis in Spanish, is about not paying for
something.  It's also about a good time. :)
