Easy..

Uninstall the MySQL 3.x rpms that come with FC1..

Go to www.mysql.com and download the Server, Client programs and Dynamic 
client libraries..

Install them and you are goot to go..

There is no need to rebuild perl-DBD or PHP-mysql or anything.. :)

At least it worked for me on 4.0.. Remember 4.1 is still a development 
version and should not really be used on a production system..
