esound deamon

  I would like to know which script startup the esd
deamon, does it need to get tcp connections ?
my netstat shows:
Active Internet connections (servers and established)
Proto  Local Address  Foreign Address State 
PID/Program 
tcp        0      0  a.b.c.d:32771     
pop.xxxx.xx:pop3      CLOSE_WAIT  6715/esd
