xine: flickering

hi

my xine really often flickers when i'd like to watch a dvd.

it shows the dvd without any problems...in color, normal speed and good 
sound. but it's flickering all the time (well, once of about 20 tries, 
it's running well...but i can't reproduce it).

oh, i just noticed: it has any display problems already before starting 
to load any file or playlist. it's the same grey "image" like the one 
flickering while playing the dvd...but it doesn't flicker at beginning, 
it's just some times there and some times not... (changes on using the 
menu).

has anyone an idea?
