SIS 900 NIC problems with FC1

I remember talking with someone else having too the problem, that the
onboard SIS NIC did not talk to other ethernet hosts. Same behaviour as
described here by Gary. It just was no laptop but a PC. Maybe Gary
should update to latest Fedora kernel .2188 as he is still running the
original .2115. Without network running it would be necessary to put the
update package(s) on a CD-R(W).
