And your router is running windows XP so you can use this command on

Somehow I think you are confused in either the answer or in what you are 
doing to answer my question.

It seems likely this may be the gateway your box is using for the 
(private) interface on the router, and that would be fine.  If so then 
set the gateway on the linux box to the same.

If I am not correct then please try again on either the answer or the 
way you got the answer.
The static IP of the router is not the same as the gateway address the 
router uses.
