Wireless support

Many wireless NICs are supported under Linux.  Do a search on your particular card / adapter on google (find out what chipset your adapter uses, that's the key).   You should also drop into a console (CTRL-ALT-F2) and THEN plug in the usb device, see if a message comes up saying that there is/isn't a driver assigned to the USB device.
