Integrated sound on a Dell Dimension 8300

I've been using Fedora Core1 now for a few months on my old pc.  I
recently purchased a Dell Dimension 8300, and opted to go the "less
expensive" route on the sound by using the integrated audio.

The audio is detected in Fedora as:
Vendor: Intel Corp.
Model : 82801EB AC'97 Audio Controller
Module: i810_audio

When I try to play the test sound, I hear nothing.  I have no errors
reported, and the audio does work within Windows XP.  Any thoughts?
