Few days back, my friend also faced a similar problem while installing it
in his samsung PC.
I think after diagnosing problem that it might be due to 128MB RAM.
Fedora Core 1 needs 256MB or more RAM for proper functioning (as spelled
in the Release Notes). But, he had 128MB RAM.
He has now installed RH 9 and its working fine.
Many of my friends and I have the required RAM and other hardware and FC1
is working better than anything.
