3 Beeps, Then Black Screen

Sounds like the system is going into standby mode. I'd check your BIOS.
Could you have maybe turned on power management by mistake? Maybe you've
installed with power management support this time, and the system
is going to standby after a given period of inactivity. 

Just a guess. Hope it helps.
