OK. Let's try one thing at a time. I have attached my xorg.conf file
which is a fairly basic one. Copy it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and then
modify it to suit your screen parameters, hor. sync, vert. refresh,
screen size etc. (important) and try that. It could be something in the
old XF86Config file X doesn't like. If that doesn't fix it get back to
me.
