Anyone know why uw-imap was replaced by dovecot in FC2?

Because of security aspects. In the eyes of the Redhat developers the
source code of the uw-imapd is bad (I can't judge that) and from
conception the dovecot server is taken as the better alternate.

The Cyrus-IMAPd is there since FC2 for users which need a more powerful
IMAP/POP3 server than a standard one.
