For those of you running Red Carpet, at some point last night one of the
channel data files was corrupt and caused rcd to crash:
# /sbin/service rcd status
rcd dead but pid file exists
Simply restarting rcd is insufficient as it just reads in the bad data
from its cache and crashes again. The problem has been reported to the
developers, and Vladimir will be pushing out bug fix packages in the
near future. In the mean time this seems to solve the problem:
# rm -fR /var/cache/rcd/*
# /sbin/service rcd restart
