Not really. Signatures aren't particularly a part of the e-mail
standards: the "-- " is only there so that clients *can* trim
automatically. They don't have to: they don't have to have any support
for signatures.
At most, it would be a feature that kmail doesn't have (presumably: I
don't use it).
