Running k3bsetup in GNOME

Why do you need k3bsetup to run as root?  you could log in as root, or
run k3b from a terminal which you have su'd to root.

 
	In the release notes, it says that k3b is not needed anymore and was
removed.
	If you are using the 2.6.8 kernel, you must have release .526 as all
previous had no support for CD, or DVD burners.

	Under release .526 it appears that k3b must be  set to burn to a new
device mounted as cdrw-dvdrw (I don't know if this will automount or
not, it is brand new!)

Try putting a blank media in the drive and fire up k3b, make sure it
will burn to the cdrw device.
