lspci gives me the following output:
02:01.0 ethernet Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139/8139 C+ (rev 10)
Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems: Unknown device ff00
Flags: Bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
I/O ports at 3000
memory at e0200000 (32 bit , non-preferable) [size=256]
Capabilities: [50] Powermanagement version 2

ok then i type system-config-network
and go to the hardware tab,i select my network card, RTL-8139/8139C.... i click on edit i see MEM, IO, IO1, IO2, DMA0, DMA1. i dont know what dma1 or 0 is but it put 3000 in the IO and e0200000 in th IO field right?, i leave the rest of the fields empty mostly cuz i dont know wat to put in them then when i close it i asks me if i want ti save then the error message:
The Ethernet card could not be initialized. PLease Vreify your settings and try again.
Command failed: /sbin/midprobe/ 8139too irq=10 io =e0200000 mem=3000
output:
Fatal: Error inserting 8139too (/lib/modules/2.6.5-&.358/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

dmesg says 8139too: Unknown parameter '" irq' 10 times...
