Yes, and you should also turn off the automatic system check (under
the "Misc" configuration panel) so it doesn't bug you again.  (This
seems to be the default in FC2 so it's odd that you're seeing it.)

In any case, I have no trouble writing CDs without having anything
running setuid root.  It's pretty easy to see whether the same goes
for you; just try to write a CD.
