Does hotplug call devlabel for USB device changes?

I noticed this too, in both FC2 and FC3T1.  I don't have an FC1 machine
nearby.

RH9 called devlabel extensively in the hotplug agents.

I tried to follow this tip without success:

It looked like a neat solution.
