mplayer seems to perform better than realplayer on my pc (which is
pretty old)
1, while playing a smaller (rmvb) file (512 x 384)
the cpu usage goes as high as 80~90 using mplayer, and 99 using realplayer
2, a bigger file (640 x 480)
while the cpu usages of both show 99, mplayer gives good video and audio
but the video from realplayer is poorer and the audio chokes, sometimes
the audio even goes away
(i'm wondering if it is intelligent enough to know that it sounds
terrible and chooses to be silent?! lol)
