mkbootcd ?

If you want something to create a boot CD, just for booting your system
like a boot disk would do, then simply use mkinitrd. It was already
explained a couple of times here on the list, that mkinitrd has the
--iso command parameter. So create yourself an ISO image file and burn
it on CD. Voila.
