Fedora kernels not recognizing Compaq Smart Array controller (solved)

The module defs were there in modprobe.conf, so I reran mkinitrd after 
chroot'ing from a rescue boot.

Now a regular boot works! Woohoo!

So, would you consider this a problem with the initrd image shipping 
with Fedora kernels?

Maybe they did an --omit on scsi?
