Yeah, you're right, thks for pointing that out. I had 1.1.8-13
installed here (it's the latest availble through apt-get AFAIK). I
downloaded 1.1.9 RPM directly from SourceForge, and it indeed works
better:
==========
~ cdrdao scanbus
Cdrdao version 1.1.9 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas at daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver
tables.
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'
ATA:1,0,0 HL-DT-ST, RW/DVD GCC-4521B, 1.03
==========
No more need to additional parameters. Cool =)
I also upgraded k3b to 0.11.14, but k3b still fails to recognize my
cdrom as a reader, and it still fails to indetify the cdrom max
recording speed (xcdroast manages this just fine).
I will try to talk to k3b folks about these issues. In the meantime,
xcdroast will be the way to go for me.
I don't recall you saying that: do you have the same burner I do?
Thks for the tips anyway. Best,
Andre
