Not at all.

Most log files are under the /var/log directory.  For samba look in the
/var/log/samba directory.  The files you want to look at are smbd.log
and nmbd.log.

You will find some additional log files there as well that may have
useful info but the ones listed above usually covers the most important
stuff.
