On a Dell Optiplex GX270 that randomly crashed on X. No logout problem, 
X just left w/o telling anyone, the CVS version cleared up the crashing 
problems.

The short of it, this X works and the prior versions did not.

I can't vouch for the first version, but the first CVS version worked 
well. I'm too unsure of the latest -2 to try yet.
