no audio with Quicktime video streams

Clint,
       Your setup is not complete according to the above output,the 
.conf's needed are here: /usr/share/doc/mplayer-1.0/. go to mplayer site
and get the latest codecs into /usr/lib/win32/

The example.conf in /usr/share/doc is to be in as $HOME/.mplayer/config
all the rest 'as is'.
