New video card install failed

Alexander: Thanks for that lead. I am stuck on stop one. I can only boot into a command
prompt right now. The first step calls for uninstalling my NVIDIA driver, and I can't
figure out how to do that. I found plenty of references on installing NVIDIA drivers, but
nothing on uninstalling them, especially from a command line. Any further suggestions?

On how to install the ATI drivers:

This reflects too the settings in the xorg.conf.
