It would appear that on Aug 20, Paul Howarth did say:

Pardon me Paul, But I would have thought that when Lew said:
"download Fedora as the CD-based distro" That he was talking about the
cd based iso images of Fedora rather than the dvd based images. That is
for Fedora Core 2, go to a fedora mirror such as:
ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/fedora.redhat/linux/core/2/i386/iso
and download:
FC2-i386-disc1.iso & FC2-i386-disc2.iso & FC2-i386-disc3.iso &
FC2-i386-disc4.iso
And Burn them with a "CD RW drive" [No DVD RW drive required]

Of course, if Knoppix includes support for burning dvd images, which
wouldn't surprise me, then putting the dvd image files on the windows
machine with the dvd burner and booting it with Knoppix to use it's linux
software would only require burning 1 reusable Knoppix cd, and getting
familiar enough with it to burn the dvd's on the "windows" machine.
The advantage being that when he wants to burn the next release of
Fedora via dvd image, or any other dvd image, he would already have the
Knoppix cd.

Personaly I'm quite happy to use CD iso images, and dread the day when
"CD" images of Fedora may be discontinued due to the majority having
upgraded to dvd-burners...
