Linux-friendly ISPs?

As others have probably noted in response, why not use a
router/firewall? There are many flavors available--anything from a very
simple D-Link model to ZyXEL's (zyxel.com) ZyWALL line to Cisco's
routers. The router would need to support the DSL service you acquire
(likely PPPoE). From my experience with PPPoE DSL it isn't extremely
difficult to setup a multi-homed linux box as a basic router/firewall
(connect your box directly to the DSL modem) and provide internet
service to a network.
