The ability to choose used to be present, it's functionality that has been 
removed, and the result is that it is harder to change than it should be. 
People often say "OSS is about choice," and while I don't like the form of 
words I agree choice is one of the things I value most about the software I 
run. I have KDE and Gnome both as primary desktops on the various computers I 
use, and in the past year I've regularly used Balsa, Kmail, 
Thunderbird/Mozilla and Evolution for email. To a lesser extent, I've also 
used mutt (not my kind of dog) and pine,

I value my choices and my right to make them; I deprecate the fact Gnome now 
makes it harder to change wm that it once was.
