FC3: Problem with video adapter

Earlier this week, I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop from FC2 to FC3.

Under FC2, I was running 1600x1200 resolution without a problem.  Now, if I
select any resolution higher than 800x600 (unacceptable!) I get dual 
images of the
desktop.

The video adapter in question is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, which I don't
see among the selections; FC3 seems to think that I have a Mobility M9, 
which
makes some sense.

Any ideas?
