$ rpm -ql desktop-backgrounds-basic|grep xml
/usr/share/gnome-wallpaper-properties/desktop-backgrounds-basic.xml

$ rpm -ql desktop-backgrounds-extra|grep xml
(nothing)

Explains why the "extras" backgrounds have to be added via the Add
Wallpaper button of Desktop Background Preferences.
