Experience with ATRPMS repository?

This did not happen on my system.

No such file exists on my system, let alone an inserted "check4updates"
 command. I don't know what's going on with your system, but none of  
 the problems you've encountered with Axel's packages have happened on
 my system (other than the lm_sensors procfs/sysfs error [I hope to
  work with Axel to figure out a solution rather than muddle the waters
 with a "downgrade"]).
