Experience with ATRPMS repository?

Well, I use it on a quite regular basis, but only for additional
packages as the madwifi wlan driver oder xmms-mp3 plugin. I never had
those kind of problems you describe. But I never (blindly) updated a
package which belongs to the core distribution.

I had similar problems with atrpms 1 or 2 years ago. But they are gone
now for me.
