I am gathering through bugzilla that there is a problem with palm and
USB on kernel-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 - apparently not on kernel-2.6.9-1.667
I am trying to work these things through but I am confused by udev
# cat /etc/udev/rules.d/10-udev.rules
BUS="usb", SYSFS{serial}="0000:00:02.1", NAME="pilot"
# cat /etc/udev/permissions.d/10-udev.permissions
pilot*:root:usb:0666
is my setup.
If I press the sync button on the Palm - nothing happens. gpilot is
running and so is the applet...
$ ps aux|grep gpilot
craig 5503 0.4 1.7 22196 8880 ? S 12:44
0:00 /usr/libexec/gpilot-applet --oaf-activate-
iid=OAFIID:GNOME_PilotApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=33
craig 5505 0.2 1.3 20228 7040 ? S 12:44
0:00 /usr/libexec/gpilotd --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_Pilot_Daemon
--oaf-ior-fd=39
but if I simply type...
[craig at lin-workstation ~]$ dlpsh
No $PILOTPORT specified and no -p <port> given.

- it connects. Is this a problem with gpilot configuration?
