laptop touchpad causing browser 'Back'??

I'm curious if anyone else is/has experienced this
behavior - I have the double-touch(click) turned off
for the touchpad.  Sometimes when I'm browsing in
Firefox, when I move my finger on the touchpad, it
causes the browser to go back one or more screens.  I
don't know yet if this also happens in Windows, but
it's happening in FC3.  This laptop is a Toshiba
Satellite.

Anyone know if this could be a problem with
  * FC3?
  * touchpad?
  * Firefox?
