Well, since you have an NTFS partition you must have Microsoft Windows 
somewhere ,
so you can always use Samba to access the ntfs partition .  By using 
Samba you have
the added advantage of safe writing to an NTFS partition .  Writing to 
an NTFS partition by
using the kernel module was't that safe up untill kernel 2.4.27 ( i have 
read it's docs and the
warning is still there ) .
