I have an issue with one CD burner and not the other.
as root do:
#lshal < lshal-no-media.txt
with no media in the drive
then insert a blank media then do:
#lshal < lshal-with-media.txt
then do:
#diff lshal-no-media.txt lshal-with-media.txt
You should have some difference between those two files. If there is no
difference your problem is with hal.
I still haven't totally tracked who's responsible for hal but, at least
there's a start.
Best,
Steve
