Well are you sure we are talking about a /etc/networks file not a
/etc/sysconfig/network file. That together with a file like ifcfg-eth0
define the parameters of the network. The definitions can be in either
file but things like IPADR, GATEWAY, NETMASK should be define
somewhere.
