Login Manager Problem

That's a theme. The login manager you are using is probably gdm, since these 
appear to be gdm themes.

What is it that you want it to say instead of "Welcome to 
crlspr-12.164.33.179.myacc.net" or whatever it says?

You may be able to adjust this by setting a "Welcome=" value in the [greeter] 
section of /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
