Graphic interface considerations

Under KDE you can change the icon size, I would assume under GNOME as well.  
In both, you can select the font sizes for differant window elements 
(toolbar, titlebar, ...).  The size of the buttons, etc., will generally 
follow the size of the text.  So if elements are not to your liking, you can 
change them.
