I've got to laff. Tis the season... The iXXX specified the arch it is for.
In this case Pentium 3s, 4s Celerons, Semprons, Athlons and that class.
The i386 should work on all machines of types listed above. x86_64 is
for 64bit machines, Opterons, Athlon64s...

The 2.6.9 is the kernel version. The 667 is the patchlevel. One of the
fedora lists, fedora-test or fedora-devel, should have a post by an
@redhat person detailing what is used.
