In the FWIW category, I have a Lexmark 2050 for which FC1 has a driver
(c2050) but it dunna seem to work at all. Same results as what you see
with the printer either directly or remotely connected. In Windows it
works fine directly connected to a machine but fails to work if shared
so it seems (to me) that the Windows driver is not all that great either.

linuxprinting lists Lexmark inkjets under the "useless" category of
vendors http://www.linuxprinting.org/vendors.html

Now I have a cheap Brother laser printer that cost me less than the 2050
did. It is hung on the lan with a D-link printer port thing and works
fine from Windows (95, 98, 2K, XP) and Linux (rh9, fc1, bsd).

Kind regards,

Mike
