Recovery from screensaver

When I get out from a screen saver screen after a while, my screen has a 
shadow 1 cm wide on the left and top sides, and in the middle there is 
some kind of blurred words: if I log out and then log in everything is 
o.k.This behaviour started yesterday, but I didn't carry any change on 
my graphic card settings...Any idea???
