OpenOffice is extremely ponderous. Koffice seems underpowered. I find
that a good compromise is Abiword for WP and Gnumeric for spread sheets.
Both run fine under KDE and are far faster and more responsive than OO.

Before I use OO, I'd rather boot XP and use OfficeXP.
