Mozilla Java Problems

I'm still running Mozilla 1.4.1, but all I usually have to do to get 
Java working is install the following packages that I found somewhere:

j2re-1.4.2-5.rh90.dag.i586.rpm
mozilla-j2re-1.4.2-5.rh90.dag.i586.rpm
