digital camera/webcam (genius)

hello. Ive just got this camera. have anyone has any luck using it with
the 2.6.x kernel? (im using fedora, but with custom made kernel)

or, what good cheap camera would you recomend me to get that can take
close shots (like toys ) with good quality, that works as a webcam too?

which do you use? (i have found genius to be generally badly supported...)
