There's no real way to argue against this point but I think you'll find
there's issues no matter ehat distro you use.

I can't comment there 'cause I don't use KDE. GNOME either, for that
matter. I use XFce4 and konqueror works fine and looks great for me. I
can send you a screen shot for you to compare with, if you want.

I think that because of RH's stance on "free software" you're going to
have to work around the non-supported stuff. This could be a definite
deal breaker. I don't use my Linux boxes for music or anything
recreational (unless you call hacking a recreation), I use my iMac.

This is a definite problem. The upgrade cycle for Fedora is quite
brisk. If you are looking for something that will have a much slower
churn then you might look at the RHEL clones like White Box Linux,
CentOS-3 and Tao Linux.

You could always install apache 1.x on your RH9 or Fedora box. Still,
a valid point.

Can't say I refuted anything. It does look like Fedora might not be
the best fit for what you need. SUSE might be good or Debian and any of
it's off-string. I really like Xandros for a straight up WinXX
replacement. It's the best of the "desktop" Linux offerings (IMO).

Don't know if this was of any help/use for you but it's all I got this
late at night (it's 2 1/2 hours past my bed time).
